Let Dr. Reggie Melrose explain the hierarchical development of the brain and how all our early experiences affect our ability to self-regulate, which she describes as the single most important capacity we can possess as human beings. With this understanding, we can better attune to and support our children at every stage and, in so doing, more effectively and lovingly cultivate the executive function essential to success in life.

I am very excited by the discovery of these videos. It confirms so much of my “gut instincts” throughout the years. I am a homeschool mama of 5 and have studied closely the behaviors of my children attempting to be sensitive to their individual development. I have learned to be gracious with them and myself when our pace of “education” isn’t as fast as those around us. (This goes for public, private and homeschooled) if you are a parent and/or educator this research is essential to understanding yourself and others. Thank you for all your hard work and research to make this accessible to the public. I, for one, look forward to learning more and sharing with others.
You’re very welcome. We are happy you found our resources and are standing by to support you with your kids. Wendy is a homeschool mama of 2 so we know how important it is to be sensitive to the needs and pace of each child.
